Jeff Lewis is still feeling a little bitter towards his former employer, furniture company Living Spaces, and he's not afraid to show it. The designer and Flipping Out star recently called out the company after it announced a new collection from married design duo Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent.
In an Instagram post on Wednesday, Jeff shared an image of the Living Spaces website with Nate and Jeremiah's new collection featured. In the caption, he wrote, "Congrats!" — but it's the hashtags that show how he really feels. Jeff finished off the post with, " "
The hashtags reference Jeff's infamous firing from Living Spaces back in 2015, where he was formerly the Creative Director. reported that his departure from the company came after a photoshoot he was producing was allegedly sabotaged (according to his claims) by an employee named Channa — hence the hashtag. Jeff has been open on social media about the incident ever since, so this new Instagram post isn't exactly a surprise.
It is important to note, however, that Jeff's post wasn't intended to denounce Nate and Jeremiah, but rather to call out Living Spaces in general. In a statement, he clarified that he meant it more as a "cautionary tale" for the couple.
"I have nothing against Nate and Jeremiah, but I have everything against Living Spaces," Jeff told People. "I was fortunate enough to land in a better position working for a nicer and more professional group of people. I just hope Nate and Jeremiah will, too."
