Because wasn't daredevil-ish enough for some — or so it seems — Princess Cruises decided to go one better: This summer, Discovery Channel's Shark Week turns 30, and the cruise line (which has a partnership with the TV network) is offering a slew of Shark Week-themed adventures in its honor.
Select sailings in the Caribbean, Alaska, and the UK will be getting into spirit from June through September. Caribbean excursions will leave from Fort Lauderdale, FL, and last seven days, with rates starting at $549. Seven shark-themed ships on Alaskan routes will set sail in July, starting at $600. The two 14-day Shark Week cruises planned for UK adventurers have already sold out, but Princess says that traveler cancellations could result in last-minute openings.

The elevators, casinos, and restaurants of participating ships will be decorated with sharks, and activities will all riff on the wildly popular underwater program. Kids can create shark tooth jewelry and clay models. There are glitter tattoos and shark face painting stations, too, because how else will you keep your moody preteen happy?
Adults: You haven't been forgotten. Mama can get her drank on with specialty cocktails, like a Shark Attack Margarita or a tropical Great Blue Shark. Sip while you watch a sneak peek of Shark Week programing; all ships that set sail before the shows air starting July 24 are treated to special previews.
And if laid back boozing and cruising is just, well, too laid back for you, consider this vacation: Two Princess excursions (you can add them to your booked cruise itinerary) — one in Honolulu and one in La Paz, Mexico — offer up-close encounters with real sharks. In Hawaii, you can cage dive with great white sharks, and in Mexico, you can swim with whale sharks.
Overwhelmed? It's ok, boo, you can just stay home and make adorable .
