The past two years have been nothing short of life-changing for Susan Kelechi Watson. Not only has she proved her acting chops on This Is Us as the scene-stealing Beth Pearson (Randall's super cool wife), but she also just made over her Los Angeles pad with the help of .
Her inspiration was simple: afro-centric chic meets minimalistic glam. "I like to bring pops of colors into my space. I recently purchased a painting by Jamaican artist Kitwana Robinson – it inspired me to highlight bright teal and vibrant orange in my home," she tells .com.
For her bigger pieces, such as her walls, couch, and rugs, Watson opted for neutrals, which allows her pops of color stand out even more and creates an ambiance of both peace and energy. "When I walk in and shut the door behind me, I want it to feel like my oasis — a place to work, play, and rest," she says.
We'd say her living room checks off all those boxes.
"At the end of the day, my favorite place to be is my living room. It’s a place to decompress, work on scripts, receive guests, and kick my feet up to binge my favorite shows," she says. "My sofa is the most inviting place and now that it is beautifully accessorized ... well let's just hope I can pull myself off it at some point."
When she does decide to rest up for another long (and probably emotional) day on set, her serene bedroom is waiting for her. The cream bedding looks like a cloud from afar and is covered in interesting texture up close, to keep it from feeling boring. Meanwhile, the soft gray curtains draw eyes up and make the ceilings appear taller.
When Watson has guests over, she has everything she needs to keep them entertained and comfortable. Not only is there a breezy dining room for meals, but the home has a full wet bar, complete with all the fix-ins for her favorite Moscow Mule. And she filled her entire home with her favorite accessories, too. "I absolutely love candles, there's something so warm and inviting about them," she says.
We'll just patiently wait here for our invite. Though we have to wonder if her fellow castmate also made over her home this past year, has been over to compare notes. Now that's a girls night we'd love to be part of., who
