There was nothing wrong with the original green cabinets in this sunny kitchen, but when blogger Vanessa from wanted a change, stripping the paint was an obvious solution.
"I loved that cabinet for its color and chippiness and unique look," she . But in order to achieve the "cleaner, natural, less cluttered and almost modern look" of her dreams, the green had to go.
The result? A fresh and airy kitchen that's less shabby-chic and more rustic and modern. Vanessa swapped out the handmade wooden cubbies for minimalist marble shelving and painted the wall a brighter white. Combined with the stripped-wood cabinets and updated flooring, the kitchen takes on a whole new persona — without sacrificing its personality.
