Mirrored insets break up a wall of kitchen cabinets and bounce light into the room. "With clear-glass doors, everything is on display," Vern says. "And that isn't something you want to worry about in a small space where storage is at a premium."
Frosted glass inserts lighten up the space-saving barn doors without sacrificing privacy.
The custom quartz console in the living room multitasks as a prep surface and dining table.
Hanging shelves replace bulky bookshelves, allowing guests ample access to Vern's favorite reads.
Floor-to-ceiling curtains can be pulled shut to cordon off the bunk nook. "Each bunk has a TV, so it really feels like you're inside a luxury tent!" Vern says. Vertical stripes of tape trim break up the expanse of fabric.
