From far away, you'd think this structure was a water tower. But as you get closer, you'll see that this historic water tower has actually been converted into an incredible three-story beach house.
Located in the westernmost corner of Orange County, California, this water tower was originally built around 1892 to service steam engines that traveled along the California Coast. While the current structure was built in the 1940s, as steam engines stopped being used it nearly was knocked down in the1980s. Thankfully a group of local residents started a "Save Our Water Tower" movement and commissioned architects and builders to convert the water tower into a house.
The best part about this converted water tower house: You can actually rent it for your next beach vacation on . Just check out the views from this 100-foot-tall house.
There's even a hot tub on the water tower's deck if you'd like to take a break from swimming in the Pacific Ocean.
But the interiors are pretty great too.
Imagine waking up in these panoramic views! There are three other bedrooms in this house, making it an ideal location for a family getaway or even for a large group of friends since it can sleep up to eight people and also has four bathrooms.
Not only does the kitchen have a full-size refrigerator and oven, but also comes with a dishwasher so you don't have to spend your whole trip cleaning up after meals.
