Anyone who is an uncle will have a lot to explain over the holidays thanks to Alisher Usmanov. He's an Arsenal FC shareholder, was previously named the 37th richest person in the world, and (according to rumors) just threw an impressively for his niece.
His niece, Ganya Usmanova, 24, married her tennis star husband Vazha Uzakov, 29, in a lavish ceremony in Uzbekistan. It took place in Uzekspocentre Exhibition Centre in the the Uzbekistan capital, Tashkent. Inside the venue, a Disney-worthy castle was built as a backdrop for the festivities.
We know, we know: The decor is pretty extravagant, but it's the bride's attire that really steals the show. She wore a total of three dresses, including this one from an American-Lebanese brand called Rami Kadi, which was the most opulent. It's encrusted with precious stones and her hand-embroidered veil is the cherry on top of a stunning ensemble.
And, let's just say, it had serious twirl factor.
For the reception, Ganya slipped into an ivory silk dress that was easier to dance in, but was no less detailed. The geometric design ensures Ganya won't blend into guests in the crowd. During the celebration, Uzbek celebrities performed and the couple cut into a multi-tiered cake under a blown-up picture of themselves.
The night before the ceremony, Ganya wore an understated dress for the first wedding, which was much more simple, but no less gorgeous.
Before the wedding, Ganya had another party — her bachelorette party! It had a Sex and the City theme and was filled with pink and sparkles galore.
It's safe to say the celebration was a success. Especially since the day after her wedding, Ganya took to Instagram to thank friends and family, saying "Words can not describe how happy we are!!!"
