It's official: You no longer have to work at Casper to be able to take a mid-day snooze, as long as you live in New York City.
, located at 196 Mercer Street, is a "magical oasis where you can hit pause and recharge whenever you want." And, according to Casper co-founder and COO Neil Parikh, it's "about making sleep and rest a part of our regular wellness routines — similar to how many people prioritize a workout class."
Before you roll your eyes — one more item on my self-care to-do list?! — he's got a solid point. In a study conducted by the , 35 percent of people surveyed prioritize fitness and nutrition, while only 10 percent prioritize sleep, despite the majority of them saying that getting a solid amount of sleep helped them get ish done faster and better. (And, let's be honest: How many of us get anywhere near that recommended eight hours of shut-eye a night?!)
lets you book a 45-minute nap, so you can doze off in one of nine nooks featuring the company's cult-favorite mattresses, pillows, and sheets. Oh, and you can do so in constellation-print PJs.
There's even a lounge, where you can sip complimentary drinks, or grab a coffee before getting back to your daily grind. Looks like heaven really is a place on Earth, though this nirvana has a slight catch: Ryan Gosling doesn't live here, and it's only open from Monday-Saturday from 11 a.m.-8 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m.-6 p.m.
