During a weekend filled with festivities and Silobration, HGTV star and designer Joanna Gaines took a moment to reflect on the last 15 years of her business, Magnolia, and all it has come to be. Because yes, silobrating the fifteenth anniversary of something with such a magnificent evolution is absolutely necessary.
According to Jo's recent Instagram post, the shop's history is also deeply romantic. Case in point: The original Magnolia sign on the building was actually something Chip created and surprised her with since they couldn't afford a "real" one, Jo writes, adding that "he always saves the day." Honestly, that's about as real as it gets. (And if you're a fan, that makes it a tough call: Does that qualify as an act of service or a gift? Or both?!)
Though Jo's taste may have changed and talents may have grown over the last decade and a half—from selling glass jugs she purchased for $1 with "imagine" and "dream" stenciled on them to creating stunning watercolor still-life paintings—her heart has always been where she's most passionate. "I have zero regrets though about stepping out and just going for it," . "This shop, this business, it has our hearts."
Joanna certainly has a lot to celebrate right now. In addition to her company's 15th anniversary, and the recent birth of her youngest son, Crew, she recently announced new home decor collections at fall's (AKA a mecca for design lovers everywhere), and is releasing her first design book, , on November 6.
