We've all got it—office envy. It happens when you pass by your coworker's desk and you see they have a cool new plant, or even in the conference room, when you see a gorgeous new print hanging on the wall. You wish you could call them your own—and designer Joanna Gaines can relate. On her latest Instagram Story series, Jo takes us through the Magnolia office to tell us everything she wishes she could snatch for herself.
"Confession: Sometimes after everyone leaves the office, I walk around and consider (just for a quick second) taking stuff out of other peoples' offices and keeping things for myself..." Joanna writes. Same, girl.
The first item that grabs the Magnolia Home owner's attention is a framed orange, handwritten note that reads, "It ought to be a feat to achieve boredom in a world like this one." Joanna reveals she almost snatched this one right off its shelf—and we can't blame her. It's a fresh take on that tried-and-true call to carpe diem.
The next coveted item up on Joanna's list is a...framed photo of David Letterman? She lets us in on a little secret: Apparently, when her and Chip first started dating, he asked her who her celeb crush was. Letterman was her immediate answer. You learn something new every day!
Going through the Magnolia offices, Joanna reveals her love of two different plants (that are quite large, I may add) and two different kinds of lighting. I mean, no one would notice that they were gone, right?!
Joanna signs off on her sneaky story by telling us to stay tuned for more office confessions, and honestly, I can't wait.
Swipe through the gallery below to see all of the things Joanna wishes were her own, and maybe get some inspo yourself for an office redecorating session. Just resist the urge to, you know, actually steal them.
