The last time you were on a waterslide, it probably only lasted a quick minute—the erratic and energizing twists and turns are often over before you know it, and once it's over ,you're ready to get right back on and experience the heart-stopping sensations all over again.

If you're one of those thrillseekers who crave the adrenaline rush that insane waterslides give you, look no further: ESCAPE theme park on the island of Penang in Malaysia is currently building what's about to be the world's longest waterslide. It clocks in at 3,740 feet long with a 230-foot drop at the beginning of the ride.

The waterslide journey will last over four minutes long and will wind through the treetops of the Malaysian jungle—perfect for adrenaline junkies who love the outdoors.

“Breaking the world record was never our intention,” Sim Choo Kheng, CEO of ESCAPE’s parent company Sim Leisure Group, said in a press release. “I'm always baffled by how rides are made so short and quick. I wanted to build rides that last a good few minutes, with non-stop smiles and giggles as visitors fly through the rainforest—something never done before!”

The current record holder for world's longest slide is located at Action Park theme park in New Jersey—but it's only 1,970 feet long. This new Malaysian slide will basically double its predecessor.

Construction for this monstrous slide at ESCAPE theme park is aiming to be completed as soon as this July, and the park plans to open it to the public later in August. Tickets to ESCAPE theme park start at $35 per person.
