Winter may be coming for Westeros, but spring has already arrived for Game of Thrones actor Kit Harrington. The (sort of?) King in the North revealed on Live With Kelly and Ryan that his home garden in England's countryside is thriving, and will soon have a familiar face standing watch among the growing veggies.
"I kept a statue from Game of Thrones, of me," Kit said about his new garden addition. "And that's gonna go in the vegetable patch and it's just gonna say Game of Thrones lines—we're going to attach a little speaker to it." Does this mean that Jon Snow's role will change from a man of the Night's Watch to ... a man of the Garden Watch?
The statue in question is the one featured in the GoT season 8 trailers, where Jon Snow, Arya and Sansa Stark are standing in the crypts of Winterfell, looking at statues of themselves. Can you say creepy?
As for his growing garden, Kit's banking that he and his wife, Game of Thrones star Rose Leslie, can end up living off of their home-grown vegetables.
"We wanted to get to a place where we could literally live off what we were growing, and now we can do that," Kit said during his on-air interview.
The pair is currently growing a ton of vegetables like carrots, tomatoes, red onion, squash, beans, four different types of potatoes, and they're also attempting to grow some asparagus.
