If you've ever been in the market for a new home, you know that real estate photos can sometimes be misleading, thanks to professional photographers with wide-angle lenses and fancy room staging companies. But a new blog is shining a light on the flipside of the issue, rounding up some hilariously awful and bizarre photos (toilets in the kitchen, mattresses floating in the backyard pool) found on real estate sites from around the world. Even better: British digital manager Andy Donaldson, the man behind the blog, adds his pithy, laugh-out-loud commentary to each unflattering image.
Below, a few of our favorite recent posts:"Oh don't mind Baxter. It means he likes you." "Best make an early start if you want to reach the sofa before sundown." "The owners have had to take every precaution with what they call the Hannibal Lecter of Wardrobes." "Elements of this property were recently added by an imaginative 5-year-old child."
"Relax, it's just a really creepy doll with a creepy doll all of its own. Oh, and a shotgun."
