Who wouldn't want to live like a hobbit? The Fellowship of the Ring painted Hobbiton as an idyllic land of green grass and merriment, the perfect place to kick back and relax (granted, you'd be living under the ominous shadow of Mordor, but that's a small detail). If you've been dying to move in with Frodo and Bilbo, now's your chance: Thai user listed his perfectly-recreated hobbit house on AirBnB. Just like in Hobbiton, the round-doored home peeks out from under the earth — conveniently keeping it cool in the summer and warm in winter. Inside, the details are meticulous, from the wood-beamed ceilings to the wooden writing desk.
The home's four rooms each have one bed and bath, and more extensions are planned (Chanikul says on the AirBnB profile that he is planning on creating "hobbit villages," for which we will be first in line). The home is located two hours from Bangkok and 30 minutes from the Khao Yai National Park, the third-largest national park in Thailand. A scooter is available for free transportation, but you're forgiven if you'd like to stay home — the home offers a full selection of hobbit-themed activities, including films, Legos, and costumes for photoshoots.
