But it turns out this wasn't intentional, and Anthropologie ended up canceling the orders.
Anthropologie responded on Twitter after figuring out the tech snafu. "We sincerely apologize for the confusion," the company wrote. "We had a glitch on our site today that led to inaccurate pricing and this issue has been resolved."
Most customers laughed off the confusion and joked about it online, while others called out the company for failing to honor the listed price. But Anthropologie told that their policy states that they can refuse or cancel orders that had inaccurate pricing because of an error. At the end of the day, all shoppers got was a chance for some hilarious #CouchGate tweets.
