If you've ever spent hours scrolling through website, admiring (and shopping) their unique furnishings, a trip to New York City should be in your future. The online retailer opened a flagship store in SoHo this week, and with 3,500-square feet to explore, you won't want to miss a single detail.

The store setup feels much like a home space—unlike retail stores that line up items throughout the floor—so shoppers can envision the furniture in an approachable, livable way. And since it's based in Manhattan, the design layout is structured to inspire shoppers with small-space solutions.

Just like its e-commerce platform, the brick and mortar will have a mixture of styles and price points, embodying the brands philosophy that every person has their own style and should be able to create that in their home at multiple levels. Shoppers can find exclusive pieces from the One Kings Lane Collection, original and one-of-a-kind art, as well as vintage and antique items. Not to mention, the store has a collection of books that can transform any empty table space in your home.

The company also worked with Plain English Design, iconic British cupboard makers, to create a bespoke kitchen in the store. The handcrafted cupboards are in One Kings Lane's new signature color, Hudson Green, which deserves to be the color of the year.

After walking through the first floor of the space with living room and kitchen furnishings, the second floor will bring you to the bedrooms—modeled after a traditional home.

The store also offers a way to custom design your own space and furnishings. At the One Kings Lane interior design studio, customers can be assisted by professional staff designers on anything from one piece of furniture to an entire home. They also can use Palette, an upholstery furniture customization service that you can use at the interactive workstation on the first floor of the store.

It's hard to accept the fact that you can't actually live in the store. But, the good news is that you can shop it and design your own space that's just as comfortable and stylish.
