If you're an Amazon Prime member, you know that —essentially, Amazon's own personal version of Black Friday in July—is just about the best time of the year to shop. Every summer, the sale gets bigger and the deals get even better, and this year is no exception.

The sale, which officially starts today (Monday July 15) at 12 p.m. PT (3 p.m. ET), will run for 48 hours—12 whole hours longer than last year's Prime Day, which ran for 36 hours (and was already extended from years past). And to top it all off, you'll find more than one million deals across the site, along with special limited time offers, never-before-seen entertainment, and exclusive launches.

How to Shop Prime Day Deals:

Before you can take advantage of this year's Prime Day discounts, you need to be an Amazon Prime member. If you already have a membership, you're in luck! If not, don't fret—free trial memberships count, and you can . (If you're not into it, you can always cancel before your 30 days are up, so you don't get charged the membership fee.)
