Since Gwyneth Paltrow's home goods collection, a collaboration between Goop and CB2, debuted in late August, there's one thing that's been especially popular: the Gwyneth Shearling Chair. Shearling chairs seem to be the next big thing in furniture—not to mention, they're super soft and comfortable—so this should come as no surprise. The only problem? The Gwyneth chair is already sold out.
Gwyneth Special Edition Shearling Chair, $3,299, CB2
Looks like the coziest thing in the world, right? It's got a cool, rounded mod shape that would make anyone want to curl up and take a nap, and it's upholstered with ethically sourced sheepskin. The catch is that there were only 40 of them made for the collection—the Gwyneth Shearling Chair is actually a limited-edition chair that's signed by GP herself—so of course they were scooped up immediately. Even at more than $3,000 apiece. But, the good news is, there is a cheaper alternative. And the best part? It's not even a dupe from another brand—it's the same chair, from the same Goop x CB2 collection, just in a different fabric.
Gwyneth Boucle Chair, $899, CB2
The boucle Gwyneth chair has the same shape and structure, the same color, and the same cozy vibe as the shearling chair, just with a boucle-textured fabric in place of the shearling. Admittedly, while it still looks super comfy, it's probably less soft than the shearling chair. But it's also $2,400 cheaper—and, perhaps more importantly, if you're just dying to get your hands on of these chairs: It's actually still available to pre-order now. You'll have to wait a little while, though—the website says they won't be ready to ship out until January.
