Following Otto Kahn’s death in 1934, Oheka Castle changed hands several times and fell into a state of disrepair. However, in 1984, Gary Melius, a real estate developer, purchased the property with the intention of restoring it to its former glory. Melius embarked on an extensive restoration project, investing millions of dollars to bring Oheka Castle back to its original splendor.
